Lead Cloud Architect, GCP

Dhaka, Bangladesh (Remote)·Contract / Part-time

About AllChrono

AllChrono is building the new industry standard for the $15B luxury watch market. We will be the first to take the global market with blockchain-verified passports, escrow-secured trades, GCC-anchored (Saudi-based startup), and complete end-to-end infrastructure integration.

We're a small, senior founding team. Learn more at allchrono.com.

The role

This is a founding technical leadership role, reporting directly to the CTO. You won't be a ticket queue or a layer of middle management — you'll be the person who sets the bar, makes the calls, and ships alongside the team you build.

What's in it for you

  • Fully remote team — you must have a proper working environment. We do have an office in Dhaka if you need a working space (Ambalait, Girmairi).
  • Contract / part-time, around 20 hrs/week. Full-time conversion is possible later based on performance and need. If you already have a full-time or part-time position, we don't expect you to leave it — as long as you're dedicated during your committed hours.
  • Compensation: full-time range is 90,000 BDT – 200,000 BDT depending on skills and experience. Part-time / contract scales accordingly.
  • Meetings happen in BD time evening or early morning.

What you have

  • 7+ years focused on cloud architecture in production engineering, with the last 3+ in a senior or lead capacity where you owned an application layer at a real company (not your own project) — while staying hands-on, not just managing.
  • Overall cloud architecture on GCP — networking, environments, IAM, deployment strategy, security boundaries, and cost management.
  • Kubernetes infrastructure — preferably GKE or GKE Autopilot — including workloads, ingress, secrets, autoscaling, monitoring, and release workflows.
  • Identity infrastructure operations — deployment, configuration, backups, upgrades, realm/client management, and high availability.
  • Infrastructure for caching, queues, rate limiting, sessions, and background job coordination.
  • Relational database infrastructure — provisioning, backups, replication, migrations, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
  • Observability across the platform — logs, metrics, tracing, alerts, dashboards, uptime monitoring, and incident response.
  • Security and compliance foundations — network isolation, least-privilege IAM, audit logs, encryption, vulnerability management, and data residency requirements.
  • Exceptional architectural judgment without over-complicating. You understand you're building for a small, competent team — simple now, but with vision to scale.
  • Find the balance against premature optimization.
  • Ruthless in code review — you have OCD about correctness.
  • AI-native setup — you've written code and debugged line by line in the past, and now operate at full leverage with AI (not as a crutch).
  • BSc in Computer Science from a top university in your country.

Nice to have

  • Mobile application release pipeline exposure.
  • Strong EU / GDPR experience.
  • Multi-region deployment experience.
  • Deploying and scaling AI / ML workloads in production.

Who you are

  • You set engineering standards — you don't lower them.
  • You obsess over hypothetical chaotic situations on platforms and proactively account for them.
  • Your code reviews take time — line by line, not "looks good".
  • You own what you ship and approve; regardless of how you code, you take responsibility.
  • You make and defend decisions, not just go with the flow. You'll sometimes disagree with the team and the CTO on technical matters and bring your own opinion.
  • You're ethical, have high morals, are responsible, and respect your teammates.

Things to keep in mind

  • We are building a small, competent, and agile team. This is not the place where we'll be happy with subpar work. We deeply understand and care about the quality of the work we produce.
  • We're a well-funded GCC startup (Saudi-based). We operate with light deadlines. Plus points if you've worked in an early-stage startup before.
  • There's no long onboarding — be prepared to hit the ground running.

How to apply

Apply on LinkedIn or email [email protected]. The team personally reviews every application — no need to reach out personally. If you're selected, you'll hear back very soon.

Interview process

  1. Initial 20-minute screening video call (Google Meet).
  2. Take-home exercise — should take less than 1 hour.
  3. Panel interview with live coding / architectural discussion (no puzzles).
  4. Final interview with the CEO.
